We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills to work as a Clerk supporting our busy Community Nursing Service.
You will enjoy a challenge and are able to work as part of a large team, whilst able to work under your own initiative, to ensure the smooth running of our busy wards, supporting our nursing team, who are visiting housebound patients in their home.
The role will require you to:
Maintain a high level of contact with colleagues from all professions and you will communicate effectively with staff: in person and by telephone, and patients: generally by telephone only
Support the Ward Sisters in maintaining the daily patient visit schedules
Ensure items required for the patient visits are ordered, received and picked ready to go out to patients homes
Maintain a Stock Room, including unpacking and rotating stock
Provide clerical/administration support to members of the nursing team
Previous customer service experience would be useful. You must have excellent computer skills, being able to work with MS Word/ Excel / Outlook and we will provide training in our own patient management systems. We require you to work flexibly to meet service demands, which may require working across seven days a week, evenings, and Bank Holidays, as required.
