We are looking to recruit band 6 community nurse's to complement our current team of Urgent Care Practitioners to provide a quality 24/7 care and treatment community service to the population of Swindon and its surrounding areas.
You will be highly self-motivated, committed, flexible and adaptable, working in both the community and urgent care setting and seeing a diverse range of clinical conditions that require assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
The post holder will ideally require previous experience in community nursing at band 6 level, or an experienced band 5, practicing autonomously and using evidence based decision making skills. The post holder will need to be competent in a diverse range of clinical skills to include palliative care and the management of the dying patient, catheter care, wound care in the patient's own home or community setting. There will also be a requirement to undertake patient care within the urgent care centre as required when not undertaking home visits, and full training and support will be offered to develop clinical skills such as clinical assessment and triage.Part time and full time hours are available.
