Job description
This post is a fantastic opportunity to assist in the delivery of the outreach programme for Libraries and in delivering outcomes aimed at improving literacy in Swindon.
You will be involved in developing and leading on programmes for promoting literacy, reader development, events and a love of reading to all. This will include developing partnerships with
target groups, Localities, external agencies and providers of other council services to promote the use of library services and to deliver local and national initiatives across Swindon.
A focus on audience development, to explore new income streams, will also be part of the role.
You will be a qualified or Chartered Librarian, or have significant compensatory experience.
This role is 18.5 hours per week and maternity cover until February 2018.
Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act - for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
